Hello fellow bloggers. Once again, I let myself become too busy with life and haven't sat down to journal for a while. So much has gone on and I know one day I will look at these books and get so mad at myself for not writing things down. So here we go…for the month of, man, may and June?

Well Work, School programs, recitals, end o season soccer games, tryouts, tournaments, doctor visits, End of school parties, Family Trips, and just recently Jason traveling, Cousins visiting, more tournaments, more n more work, and just summer in general has kept our family super busy. Today, while I should be finishing work, I've decided to BLOG! Our cousins left this morning. We had a super great time while they were here. Everyone was basically entertained since Saturday! It's been pretty nice! My sis. N law Kara got me seriously thinking about the importance of this journaling thing! The days are just going by way too fast.

So we just finally got a really hot day, today…and of course it was the first day of a weekend long tournament. We just finished up two soccer games for today in the tournament and we are tired of being in the sun. I felt so bad for both Hali and Kora as they were running up and down those fields. They both played so hard and I was very proud of them! They are excited for this upcoming season. They had their tryouts in mid-may and the results are: Hali is playing forward/mid on the premier State Wasatch Team and Kora is playing defender up a year on U10 district Strikers Team. We are looking forward to upcoming tournaments and camps!

The boys just recently, like within the past week or so, have been really into taking things apart. First it was Korbin, and just a minute ago I found Hayden in the toy room taking trying to take apart Kora's polly pocket car. While he was doing a great job at unscrewing the car, I was a bit upset because I had just put it back together from Korbin taking it apart the night before. We haven't told Kora yet, nor do I think she will really care. The problem is…I can just see them while I am gone one day working together to disassemble something big. Perhaps the wii, or the TV, or my computer, or my plotter, There are so many screws in our home! Oh the possibilities. I need Jason to come home and just fiddle around in the garage for a day with those boys. B.T.W. I do LOVE that they do this…just not things I have spent money on. They too are playing soccer in the fall and are attending a few camps this summer…can't wait for those. They need to release energy. It will be great to see them pooped! It's been a while.

Annual Hospital Visit

So, last year it was Korbin cracking his head open on Easter…last Saturday, Hayden got his turn. He got his head slammed in the van door. HE is fine, he had a CT scan and thought it was the coolest ride. He refers to it as a doughnut in space. As we were leaving the hospital he says, "That was super cool mom" I told him I hope he enjoyed his $50. Ride. Our family was quite shaken up that night. I had been trying to get them loaded after a church party for about 30min. I was chasing Hayden around the outside of the church and trying to get the rest of them, including dad, to get in the car. No one was listening!!ARG. Then once we finally got in the car the last person thought everyone was in and Hayden was crawling in and SLAM! In the car, I told my kids I couldn't be a mom anymore and I was giving up because no one listens to me. I of course, started a huge meltdown and they all were bawling. Korbin didn't want to go to sleep until Hayden came home. They were all so worried about him. So some blood and swollen sides of his head for us to all learn a lesson. My kids, obviously, was to listen the first time. Me, don't ever say you can't be a mom anymore and I am giving up. Jason, to listen to his wife, the first time also! I truly am grateful for all of our trials. We are just an ordinary family learning through each experience that comes our way. I was so proud of how big everyone acted once he got hurt. (except me of course) Hali was so brave and watched the kids. I called several times over the 2 hours we were there. She was crying with Kora and Korbin the first couple of calls and then I was amazed at how strong she was. She told me she gave them hugs and said a prayer together that Hayden would be okay. I LOVE my kids and my husband. This is what I LIVE for. They are my LIFE!

KID FUN!!!

I can't believe this school year is coming to a close! We have been so busy lately with parties, 2 birthdays, work, taxes, emergencies, housework, guests, and about a million soccer games! We've had a blast and I would love to be that mom that blogs and records every living moment. But truth is I'm totally not! This is as good as it gets! I'm blogging in the 45 min. until my kids come home and all h…. breaks loose. You know snacks, homework, practices, games, bath, dinner(sandwiches, taco bell, corn dogs) Freezer group where are you! HELP! Here are the latest in the Lynn home.

Hali: Total PEACE maker! As you can see from the pictures…it is very fitting. She has been great at helping around the house and has recently found her inner self with her friends at a party…she rocked the house with "Old MacDonald" She has also been playing lots of soccer 2-3 times a week. She truly amazes me. Not just the talent but her determination and strong mind! She has been our number 1 baby sitter and we appreciate her so much! She also just received her Faith in God award and is gearing up for YW. Scary to think about! She got a big kick out of me breaking my toe while playing soccer. Thought that was one of the funniest things!

Kora: Just got a HAIR CUT and is now a super diva. I will have to take photos with a good camera and post rather than my blackberry. She has been playing soccer 2-3 times a week and constantly impresses me as well. She just realized last week that she can totally run! She wanted to run with me and ended up going 3 miles??? She is having a blast with her friends and family. And just recently had her FIRST ever sleepover. It was her next door neighbor friend who is just as adorable as she is. Kora is getting so mature, it makes me sad when I look at baby pictures..but for sure would never go back. She is my shopping lover! I need one of those!

Korbin: Had a birthday. He is now 7 years old! He had a big birthday bash at the bowling alley. Lots of fun and I must say he acts much older now that he is 7. He got a motor scooter and now has a little more freedom to roam the neighborhood. WATCH OUT! On a more serious note, he takes very good care of that thing. Since mom has ran over his bike, he plugs his scooter in every day when he finishes riding it! Korbin is also playing soccer and still enjoys slide tackling the kids out there. He runs all the way down the field to protect his goal and then runs it back and scores…he is tired and happy when he is done! Just how we like him! He is such a good kid and tries to be kind to everyone. Definitely the most social out of us all!

Hayden: oh Hayden..remember the Lion costume? We've switched to a mullet wig. I'm about to kill Jason for ever getting that thing! Im not so sure why he likes it, but he seriously thinks he's a rocker when he wears it. I really laughed this morning when he was vaccuming with it on...my pics don't come out so well on my phone lately but you can see how funny it is for yourself. So his funny things lately is anything about poop, pee, bottom, puke???? I don't get it but everyone laughs. He is becoming sensitive to us laughing at him, but it is so hard not to. He tells me all the time lately to not laugh at him. My response is that he makes me happy! Maybe someone should tell him to not wear the mullet???

Here's Kora. Yep, that makes two for us in braces. She is in lots of pain today but constantly seeks advice from her older sister, on how to relieve it. I'm no help and neither is Jason since none of us had braces. It is my narrow mouth and Jasons big teeth that is giving us this craziness. We all had our cleanings yesterday and NO CAVITIES!!! Yeah. But, we got great news that Korbin will need braces within the next two years and Hayden needs to correct an overbite. Do teeth really have to be perfect? Cause Im tired of all these trips to the "TEETH PEOPLE". Nevertheless, Kora does look adorable. She has been trying not to smile, but realizes that it hurts when she does that. I told her to just let her lips go…they look AWESOME!!!

Sorry Blogger friends, I have not been very good at keeping up with anything these days! Facebook is so much easier. This winter has been so dreadfully cold but a lot of fun! We have taken advantage of all snow activities this winter. Christmas came and went...we have had lots of visitors and lots of fun with family and friends. The kids have had so much fun with the snow, but I think we are all ready for the sunshine! We are planning on Disneyland soon and cannot wait for that trip with friends and family and SUN! Hali and Kora have been playing a lot of indoor soccer. They both LOVE their soccer teams! Koras comp. team took 1^st place this indoor season. They have both developed so much since our move and are proud of them both. Korbin and Hayden are anxiously awaiting their moments to shine in the spring in their sports! They are constantly putting on their football uniforms and playing basketball in the garage. They keep us very busy! I constantly hear Korbin singing Jonas Bros. songs and Haydens new thing is "Mom my tummy is scrubby" apparently that means he is super hungry. Jason and I are also ready for the sunshine and for all of the activities that come with it. I tried to surprise my Jason the other day and shoveled the whole driveway! I was so...sore! Really, I could barely lift my arms. Jason got a big kick out of this because I can run forever and never be sore and his favorite was that we had a snow blower in the garage. Whatever...I am ready for the SUN!

Man I miss my good friends from Fruita. I guess, I don't really realize it until I am down/I have no one to run with/start planning holidays without them… I was so blessed to be surrounded by good people, and wish I would have taken more time to thank those who loved me. Well, this weekend I got a taste of an awesome friendship…my good friend Tasha came to town…I LOVE YOU TASH…And to all my friends back there, I MISS YOU TONS! It was so good to see her and Shania, her baby. Tasha went into labor the night that I left Fruita. I saw her with her mom and she was headed towards the hospital right as I was leaving Colorado. Then when I pulled upto my new home in Layton, I got a call from her telling me she had her baby…I cried like a baby. I cried again as she left, because I miss the true friendship that she gave to me. It was so great to see her again. Here are some photos. What a GOOD baby girl!!!

Halloween is over!

Halloween is over! Whew… I am so sick of dressing up my kids for parties. Im a total party pooper now! The kids got Halloween day off this year. There are so many corn amazes, haunted houses, parties. I have never seen Halloween celebrated like this. Needless to say, this year the kids were spoiled. I however, am so sick of make-up and washing costumes, and CANDY…I am ready for thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. We all had a great time dressing up. It seemed that we changed our costumes every time we went to a different event. Kinda frustrating all together I think we had about 8 or 9 different costumes. By the time Halloween got here, we were ready for it to be over. Jason and I went to the temple that morning. Kinda weird I know…but we needed the break before the days' activities. That night, Hayden chose the "lion" costume. I'm scared for whoever marries that kid because I think that he is permanantly attached to this one. Korbin was a dead football player(Hali and her friends did his makeup), Kora was a witch(she was a football player for a couple of parties and looked awesome in both costumes), and Hali was a dead soccer player with her friends. The kids had the time of their lives…Here are some photos.

Hey Hayden Turned 4 on the 20th. I can't believe it. My baby boy is getting big! He has been saying the coolest things to me lately. "mom you are so beautiful" His favorite place is walmart. Scary huh... We will be in the mall and he will say "Mom,when are we going to walmart?" I'm sure people think that we are huge W.T. And the other day Korbin told him that he has to be home schooled while he goes to kindergarten. It was kind of funny how upset this made Hayden. He went on and on about how he is going to go to a school. He is still not over the LION costume, monkey costume, power ranger, and now indianna jones costumes. And no, I'm not one of those people who lets him wear them in the stores. but, as soon as we get home he jumps right back into one of them. It's fun to watch him and love him. He really is a very sincere kid and is growing up too fast. He can not only do a 50 piece puzzle, Kora taught him to turn it over and put it together like that. He is truly gifted in working the puzzles! It is the first thing he does in the mornings now. I'm so happy to be his mother!

I always dread this day…every year without fail, something goes wrong! So, this year was very last minute. It was really easy and nothing went wrong. I was forced to not go out and buy matching outfits and to make do with what we had. My girls decided to not curl their hair this year and so really, I DID NOTHING! One of our friends out here did these photos this year and I was so proud of her. She did a great job.

All of our company left and soccer was cancelled last night and Jason was leaving this morning so, we decided we'd better get busy. This was our night to do pumpkins!!! So fun! We decided to go the clean route this year, as we have just finished cleaning for the last two weeks straight. We were all sick of big messes. We vinylized our pumpkins. It was a lot of fun everyone got to personalize their own. This is a very clean yet creative to do yours at home!

Catch up!

Okay, so here I am trying to play catch up for the last two months. So much has happened, a ton going on still, and if I don't get some of this now, it will be forgotten. I was laying in bed last night and was jotting down events on my blackberry that have taken place that I did not want to forget. The first being on Saturday, the 11^th, Kora got baptized. It was such a special day. She had grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends come and show their love and support for her. I am so proud of Kora, she has turned into such a beautiful young lady, I found myself just starring at her and adoring her the other day as I felt the gratitude of motherhood. She has become very strong, yet sensitive to peoples needs which is a quality that is so important to continue to develop as she grows older and becomes a mother and friend herself. After her baptism we had a huge party in celebration of her. It was a beautiful day…well, weekend, as we have had company come and go throughout the week. Thank you to all my family, Jason's family, and close friends(WE LOVE YOU ALL) for making that trip through the snow!

Here are just a few notes of exciting things going on in the LYNN LOCKERS!!!

- We have had two birthdays in the last month and two more coming up! Jason's birthday was on the 23^rd and Kora's was on the 26^th. We had a great time with friends celebrating Jason's special day! And Kora had a blast having a late night with her friends. There was screaming and dancing for about 4 hours straight. I found myself taking some Tylenol about half way into the noise. And Jason spent the evening in his bed with the door shut! Everyone had a great time!

- Kora and Hali are still in soccer. Kora just scored the winning goal in her last game…Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Schofield both got to see it. It was so fun to watch her! Hali just finished her 1^st season they took a close 2^nd place. She just got asked to try out for the ODT Olympic Development Team. They came through salt lake and saw her last game, then they asked her to try out, they are coming up soon. Who knows what will happen from here on out. I'm just happy for them both, they have so many opportunities here and they are eating them all up!

- Kora also just started basketball and Jason and I are coaching! Watch out, cuz I don't know what I'm doing. It's a co-ed team and both of us are needed, dang it. I guess I can say I helped out last practice. A girl got hit in the face and didn't want to come back…her words were, "I didn't know you could get hurt in basketball?" It was cute. I convinced her that we needed her help in coming up with a team name. She tried to convince the team of the Cheetahs..(cheetah girls) but they chose the Jaguars instead.

- Korbin is starting FOOTBALL soon and Hayden AYSO soccer. Im excited for them both to release their energy somewhere other than at home! It will be so great and so fun to see them interact on a team! We cannot wait.

- We have had Grandma Lynn here for the last 2 weeks and it has been so fun for the family. We love having visitors! Grandpa Schofield also just flew in on Friday. He was with us until Sunday and he will be with us next week, as he is making his rotations in Utah with all the family members. They both got the chance to be here for Kora's baptism.

- We got our first snow storm!!! That was very cold and exciting…I had frost on my eyelashes for my run this morning. The excitement will fade by the end of the week!

- The Presidential Debates…well the whole election coverage has been so intense! We haven't missed a beat. I have really taken an interest in this election, as it is so important for each of us to pick the appropriate candidate!!!

- General Conference! Once again…amazing. It is so nice to be comforted in our times right now. To know that we should let "the world be the world" and we do all we can to be good servants of the Lord. I got the chance to listen to EVERY address. That hasn't happened for about 3 years now. The things that were spoken were of such value and importance to me. I learned that I need to take the time to listen to EVERY session and not just those that are most convenient. And I've given up on rationalizing and saying that I will record it/ read it in the Ensign. Because, the truth for me, is that I don't. I LOVED this conference.

- And of course…the new season of THE OFFICE! Wow! Can you believe it. Pam and Jim are engaged??? And how about Angela and Dwight? Pretty sick and scary! If you haven't seen this yet. You ought to!

- Fantasy Football~ The coolest thing ever...by the way my team ROCKS! Cutler is something special this year. He's on a roll.

Hali's Soccer Tournament!

Hali's soccer team is undefeated!!! I got these photos from my friend. Her daughter and Hali defended each other the whole game. And they are good friends. Kinda fun huh. They are so serious here about soccer and Hali and Kora are loving it. Kora has not played games yet, as her season doesn't start til mid September. But, we cannot wait! They are having so much fun with soccer and school now that's all they do. They can't believe that they get their own locker in school! And I can't believe that I didn't have to buy school supplies!
Korbin's first day was yesterday also! I found myself bringing home a carload of boys all stinky and smelly and ready to play in the dirt. Korbin has 4 boys just on our block who are in his class. What a blast! And Hayden, well, he was a bit sad and not knowing quite what to do with himself yesterday. He calls himself, "mom's helper" and he thinks that is pretty cool.

THE 2008 OLYMPICS!!!

I hope all of you are watching the Olympics this year! If the purpose of this blog is to have a type of journal for our family, I just have to take a moment and run along with my theme and look into “Kami’s Locker”.
The Olympics mean so much to me and after watching yesterdays events I was just in tears! I have to first explain myself….Jason and my first date. We were in Provo and drove back east to Atlanta, Georgia, for the 1996 Olympics with a big group of friends. From there, we knew we were destined to be together. We saw a ton of events there and knew we shared the same passions! We spent endless nights getting to know each other better, talking all night long…We stopped at many stops along the way. Some of the fun stops were…the muddy river of Green River, CO…taking a swim. Grand Junction, CO where we spent the last 5 years and have just recently moved from, spent the night in Glenwood Springs on a mountain(not recommended!!!the worst sleep ever.). We stayed the night at a church building in Little Rock, Arkansas. We hiked up some cliffs and swam in a water hole in Mississippi and went water skiing in Raleigh, North Carolina. The trip was full of so many activities and the best part is that we have it all on video tape. We took along a camcorder for the whole trip!
Well, I decided this last April that I would run “The Boston Marathon”. Every marathon that I’ve ever run, I had qualified for this race, but never had the desire to actually run it. Well, I had a group of friends that qualified this last year and we all decided to go! Needless to say, I am so glad that I did. We had a great time there and had the opportunity not only to see a lot of history(which meant everything to Jason), but we were able to see the “US Olympic Trials in the Marathon for the 2008 Olympics. There we got to see the favorite for the 2008 Olympics win the race, Deena Castor. It was such an unbelievable experience to be so close and be able to take pictures like you’d see in Runners world(magazine). This for sure was the highlight of my trip!!! The Boston Marathon was also a great experience in itself. So, yesterday was the Marathon event of the Olympics. I was so sad to see Deena drop out from a foot injury early on in the race. But, I felt the passion of every individual runner in that race. I realized then, that there is something in me that just LOVES this gruesome race! Watching each of them come in, some in tears, some with smiles, others with blank looks of exhaustion. I have felt each one of those feelings at the end of a race. I have so much respect for each one of those women as I know how hard and excruciating their pain was. It makes me appreciate the human body that our Heavenly Father has given us. Another great and historic moment was Phelps winning the gold for the 8th time during these games. You could see the gratitude written all over his face. I don’t know if it was hormones or what but I was an emotional wreck! Another moment was to see Tyson Gay loose his spot in the 100m (track and field). He was one of the most humble people out there. It’s so hard to see people who have worked so hard including Deena Castor, not finalize their ultimate dream. I’m excited to watch the rest of these Olympics. I feel like I haven’t gotten much done around the house these last couple of days, but, they’ve been worth it. I’m including photos FINALLY of my Boston experience!

Friends, Family, and FUN!!!

The summer is nearing it’s end! I can’t believe it. It has gone so quickly! There have been so many changes for our family. It’s been a BLAST! We had our next door neighbors from Fruita come and visit last week! It was so good to see them again. We spent a couple of hours at the water park and then they were off to Yellowstone for a visit with their friends. The kids just ate each other up, as they miss having them right next door! We hope it’s not too long before we see them again.
On Wednesday Hali had another Soccer tournament…she’s LOVING being able to play so much SOCCER! They won the GOLD! Jason and I were so proud of her. She played her heart out, helping them to win their semifinal game with a goal as a midfielder. She also assisted almost every goal that was made, as well as saved quite a few goals being both up and down the field. Good thing she has some kind of endurance in her blood, because they RUN her like crazy. Kora also won the GOLD also and didn’t have to play a single game. All of her competition forfeited their games. She was sad at first but quickly realized that meant she won without even having to put on her cleats! Yeah! We also had a cousin swap with John and Kara this last weekend and that was fun. Korbin had a blast at their home in Highland, playing with Adam. And, we got Maddie, our 12 year old niece, who also plays soccer. It was a lot of fun, but, she probably thinks her Aunt Kami and Uncle Jason are going to have a heart attack from the games. Maddie, Hali, Kora, and Hayden got to play in an ambulance and turn on the sirens on Friday night. I have lots of photos of that. Hayden LOVED the ambulance. We are adjusting quite well here in Utah and are realizing daily what a great move this was for our family. We have been so blessed! We are so grateful for this opportunity to have moved here the timing was perfect. We LOVE the fact that we are close to old friends and family.

Hali got braces!

She got braces about 3 weeks ago but I have neglected to post these beautiful things. We are very proud of them. She says she can touch her whole tooth now on the bottom of her mouth. I'm kinda jealous! She looks so cute with these on. She picked turquoise for the color and keeps her mouth extra clean. Hali had a tournament this last weekend and learned how to use wax for the first time!!! Her team did great, I forgot my camera, and I am so sad! Some old friends from Grand Junction told me they were going to be there and I still forgot it. Her old soccer team from Grand Junction played in the tournament and it was fun to see everyone again. We had a great time in Park City!

American Idol Here We Come!!!

So, my two brothers Jim and Tom both decided to fly in and try out for American Idol this week. They flew in Sat. night(Jim from Portland) and Sunday morning(Tom from Las Vegas) We went to register Sunday morning at around 9:30am and was able to walk right up, register, and leave. So we got to hang out all day Sunday and Monday as they were expecting to be standing in line both days to register. Sunday Jim made a fabulous meal for us while I had responsibilities at church. We came home to a great sweet potato casserole and beef brisket amongst many other dishes, one including my kids favorite, chocolate peanut butter dessert! Yummy. It was so great to visit with them that day…We didn’t see much of Tom that day he needed his sleep. Sunday night my parents drove in and stayed with us until Wednesday morning. We’ve had such a great time together. Monday Jim helped Jason and I put in our travertine. We had so much fun together….schofields know what I mean….every other word is a LAUGH! It was so great to visit with mom and dad and Tom as well! They are such great people and care so much for each other. Here are some pics…of the week. Don’t worry Kara, I didn’t attach “The ONE” I will post again soon. We just got our carpet in today and we are basically done YEAH!!!! Just a few touch ups here and there but we are pretty much complete with the basement. Our good friends the Sacketts will be with us tonight for a couple of days and we are so excited! Hali also has a tournament in Park City this weekend, and my friend Rachel is coming to see us! WE LOVE VISITORS…so anyone who wants to visit is more than welcomed…just be expected to play games and LAUGH!

WE LOVE IDAHO!!! We had so much fun there last week that we thought we'd go again on the weekend! So, we went and picked up my mom from Rexburg on Sunday. She stayed with my sister Wendi and visited with her before the chaos begins with a new baby in her home. We are all so excited for her little girl to come. I have posted pics. of my friend Rachel and her daughter Bailey(Avery was sleeping). And my Jones neices and nephews. Oh, and some random LION that we found on the way. We decided to be ambitious and go to Wendi’s baby shower in Idaho. It was July 9th. I drove up there with my mom early Wednesday morning. We dropped Hali, Kora, Korbin, and Hayden off at my good friend Rachel’s house! Went to the shower and I went back to Rachel’s house and spent time with her. LOVE HER! She hasn’t changed a bit! She has 2 cute girls that my kids LOVED and she has a boy on the way! We chatted a lot about old times and argued over who was the bigger “Office” fan! Totally me and Jason. I thought I was the biggest lover of “The Office” until I found out about her latest ringtone????? I think I still win. I find it hilarious that we both lay in bed at night with our husbands and have to watch an episode. Scary!!! From Rachel’s we went back to my sisters so that cousins could play together. It was so good to see Samuel and Emma. We didn’t get to hang out as much as we’d like to, but for sure we will be back! We left my mom up in Idaho because we had other commitments here in Layton to get back to, but we are going back up on Sunday! Oh, and I FINALLY got a new car and LOVE it. I haven’t figured it all out yet… It’s funny because I called my sister as I was lost in Idaho Falls and she said, “Look at your navigation system”. Sure enough, there it was, I-15, I would have never thought to look. I don’t know if I get Technology yet, but one day I will!

Basement Coming Along.....

This is an update...It's coming along. We are so excited to see this big empty space turning into something. It has been fun seeing all the walls come up, and seeing all the kids' rooms actually coming together. They are already saying.."Get out of my room!"

I included pictures, the first one being the hallway on the left there is a room(boys) to the right is a storage room(for my signs) and ahead the family room, I am taking this from my office. Next, is taken right when you come down stairs, the family room to the right(double doors) is a patio to our back yard. Straight ahead is a hallway end of hallway is my office. Then you see our furnace room and networking room, to the left of that a hallway and an enterance to the garage. The next is my office, which I am most thrilled about! I will have a big space with a sink(yeah) and the best feature being a fridge for my diet cokes(sorry, to all of you strait ones, but it's my fav.) The final picture is to the very right is a cold food storage and reg. food storage room, then the next room to right Koras room and next to the right is Halis room. At the end of the hallway is the bathroom and all to the left is under the stairs.

So there you have it! We are so excited to have it textured tonight and on Thursday the doors hung and baseboards and Saturday paint. Then carpet, hardwood, travertine, and fixtures...we're sooooo......close!

The Zoo & Other Fun Events!

We have been so busy lately. Trying to stay out of the workers' way has led us to more field trips lately! The kids are LOVING it! I have finally got pictures from our zoo trip. I figured I'd get a zoo pass this season because we haven't lived around a zoo for 5 years now. We are having fun introducing each animal and learning exciting facts about each one of them. The cheetah was the coolest animal there this trip. It was running back and forth right next to the window. We got to see every detail of that amazing animal. Every time the cheetah came storming by…Hayden would duck his head. We couldn't decide if he was scared or playing along. We also saw a pregnant elephant…WOW! The worker was asking if we had any questions and so Korbin decided to chat away with her. She told him it took 2 years to have a baby. Korbin was amazed and figured it out in his head that she wouldn't have her baby until he is baptized! His reaction was hilarious!

We are looking forward to the 4^th of July and our basement being completed! Grandma is coming on the 7^th and we are going to Rexburg, Idaho for Wendi's baby shower and to visit Rachel!!!(My old college roommate) My kids and I are so excited! We will update soon!

Schofield Family Reunion 2008

Wow! What a great time this was! We had so much fun!!! My kids just cannot stop talking about all of their cousins. It started last Thursday and we met in Provo, UT and had a welcome dinner! We always have "The Schofield Family Olympics" and this year we were the Red Team: Lynn's to win team! We had so much fun clothing ourselves with red shirts and bandanas! Every family made their own flag for the weekend that we had to have with us at all times! We then had a picnic in the park the next morning and off to Heber Valley Lodge! Good times! I will try to post more pictures when I find them myself. I didn't have a charged battery and am stealing photos from all my family…thanks family! Man, really though we have the coolest family alive! Those Schofields and Schofield in-laws are the funnest, funniest, and happiest people I know. I've really come to appreciate happy people and am trying to teach my kids how important it is to surround yourself with the positive and not the negative/ones that will bring you down! And boy, it was fun, even to the point of puking in the night from too much candy!!! Hikes with Uncle Jason and telling the infamous "Frankie Finger Stories". And campfires: stories, songs (Aunt Amy and Aunt Kim and boys) my kids are still singing "some bologna song" that I never understood! And "Banana in your Ear". Also, roasting not only marshmallows, but, taffy and starburst, and you name it…it was over the fire! Thanks Uncle Tom! Oh, and Aunt Cindi, don't worry, if you are faced with any bears in Iowa, you know who to talk to. Korbin told his Aunt Cindi that he will fight off any bears for her. So if she's scared in the night to go and get him. The ironic thing about that statement is earlier he was screaming out of terror at a dog. I am so proud of my little man who is willing to defend all the ladies!

It was such a fun and memorable weekend. Our family is excited to spend more time together! Mom and Dad Schofield looked pooped at the end of the weekend. Probably because they knew the long road they had awaiting for them back to California! They were so much fun to have around. And Grandma the Great Bird showed up the final night and spent some time with us all. What a powerful woman she is! I am so touched that I am related to that woman. She is such a woman of love, integrity, and grace. We love her so much! Korbin Martell (which is her husband's name) was such a gentleman to her. He wanted to talk her ear off, even amidst all of the cousins running around! She is such a special person!

I personally had so much fun holding all the babies…too many to count. And I think I made a new best friend…little Ashley Parks(my niece) she wanted me to take her on hikes every minute of the day, I think it was really because of uncle Jason's stories…wow! Weren't those amazing! Hahaha. We will be laughing and widdeling forever over those stories!

Hill Air Force Museum

We had so much fun going to this museum. It was amazing! The planes were huge. They had everything from B-52 Bombers (retired and incredible) to a model of the first plane ever invented! We all enjoyed this museum. It was one of those moments that you don't forget. The impressions on our kids faces as we taught them(well Jason…he is the history buff), all about the heroes in the past who have flown those planes. It definitely made our family appreciate all that our country stands for. Our freedoms that we enjoy are all because of these heroes that have sacrificed their lives for us. We are so excited for this 4^h of July coming up…I think it will be memorable for our kids after touring all of these planes and learning the things that they did that day! So…Hayden was the only one that would put on all the gear…watch out America!

This One’s For Kora!

Man, It looks like Kora's been jipped. For some reason, the posting didn't show for her.

This is what Kora's been upto LATELY: She just made the U8 Soccer Team here in Layton, UT: The Layton Strikers (she previously tried out for the La Roca Team, and made it on their B team, but we weren't prepared to pay 3,000 pretty pennies for a U8 club yet.) Regardless, of her cheap parents...she is amazing thanks to her big sis. Who plays with her on a daily basis. So, we just moved here to Utah, and right next door is a girl, Emma, who is 7 going on 8 and they both just adore each other!

So Kora is loving the summer time right now and not having to get up at 7am. She sleeps in until 8 or 9 whatever she feels like, wakes up to a puzzle then showers and plays school with her bros and sister! Mom would love to be a part of this and sometimes has to be the mean principle, but is constantly working these days with the family business! Our basement will be finished on July 15^th so Kora cannot wait to relocate with her sister where they will both have their own room and bathroom and a mini kitchen! Oh, and the latest addition, an alarm and an intercom system installed just in case! I think it's great for the teenage years(if we are still here) If there is any of my blood or JASON's we definitely need an alarm system for the two entrances to the basement and the many windows. So, this is the excitement here for now! Kora & all of the kids are just thrilled here in Utah, we have already visited the Hogle Zoo, the "This is the Place" monument(Totally Jason's thing), the Airforce Museum, which was amazing! Anyone with boys..come visit and you'll see what I mean. We are excited to go to the childrens museum, Lagoon, Cherry Hill Park, and so much more..and don't worry pictures are coming soon.

We just had a family reunion this last weekend and we've been having a blast with our family and all the cousins! Postings will be coming soon...with lots and lots of pictures. We also had so many visitors this last week. Cindi and Brian, and their family, John and Kara and their family, my bestest friend Tabatha came and visited, and yesterday my mom and dad and brother Tom. We had a great fathers day with them. The kids loved playing the wii with uncle Tom and Dad and Mom cooked with grandma while grandpa slept. It was so fun to have all of them around for a day. So we all woke up this morning to Jason gone to Chicago for the week and me frantically trying to get my store back on track, as we have been gone since Thursday. But, I saw my sis. In law, Jenny, who I adore, and her family's blog and just had to catch up and let her know and all of you, how WE are. Love you all!

LOCKER #3: Candid Korbin

(Gets his name because he is constantly letting everyone know who he is, how he feels, and tells ALL his business as well as the rest of the family's business!)

As we approach his Locker we see signs all over it...the biggest reading..."NO GRLZ ULOWT" His locker is full of pens that have been taken apart...well, I guess everything in here has been taken apart and recreated in some form or another. His valuables include, his lego creations, random tools that he's picked up(ohwait...Jason's been looking for that), golf tee's, guitar picks, "axe" spray for the ladies..., and I hear intense conversation: "Are you listening? Mom, you know something I've been thinking about lately?hmm Nothing beats when his "Parents supposedly died in a car crash and he and his school teacher were devistated"

Locker #4: HOPEFUL HAYDEN

(we give him this name because he has survived 3 years of sucking walmart drains, jumping off anything, and living with the 5 of us unscathed)

His locker is full of legos, M&M's, mom's gum that he's snatched from her purse, his brothers fav. Stuffed bear, Captain, and Screws/ anything sharp. Here is what I found just recently. Thanks to our good friends Kenny and Tabatha Sackett, who constantly egg this kid on and give him ideas! I think the photo speaks for itself...And yes, that is a strainer on his head!
